Galeria Kaufhof at the Königsallee

The characteristic ornamental art nouveau ware house was built by the former Tietz AG (now "Kaufhof an der Kö"),
according to the design by Joseph Maria Olbrich, who was an austrian architect.
In 1908 Olbrich established a architecture office in Düsseldorf
and started designing the neoclassical store "Tietz" (now Kaufhof), which was finished in 1909.
